Project Goals:

The following are the short- and long-term goals for this project:

  • Increase student understanding of 3D game design, animation, and coding using blueprint scripting.

  • Liaison with local high school computer science teachers to build community and increase the number of students interested in exploring computer science in high school.

  • Increase capacity among elementary school teachers on how to effectively implement Twinmotion and Unreal Engine to foster creativity, increase student engagement, and teach concepts in 3D game design.

  • Engage elementary school students in 3D game design to move towards becoming creators and not just consumers.

  • Develop and make available curriculum lesson plans that support learning (and address specific expectations in the Ontario Math curriculum).

  • Professional development for me and others.
